About Our Military Support Program

Our local military support group was formed in June 2006 to provide encouragement and support to our military families and personnel while they are away from home. Our mailing list consists of young men and women who have personal ties to our community—either by being from here or having a loved one or friend who lives here—and includes all branches of the service. Since we began, we have shipped over 25,500 care packages filled with necessary supplies and special treats to all parts of the globe, missing only one month of shipping since August 2006 due to Hurricane Ike.

How to Support Our Mission

Donations are always welcome to help cover postage fees, which cost $29.59 per box overseas and $19.98 for domestic shipping. We average $3,100 monthly in postage alone, so any monetary donations for items or postage are greatly appreciated. As you travel, please remember our military with hotel soap, lotion, toothbrushes, and other travel-sized items—they are the perfect size to slip in uniform pockets! Please drop your donations in the F.A.I.T.H. collection box outside our church library.

Adding Someone to Our Mailing List

Do you have someone to add to our list? You can stop by Suanne's office or complete the forms available on the F.A.I.T.H. table outside the church library. We need the service member's branch of service, rank, full name, address, deployment status, expected return date, and contact person information in case a package is returned. If you have any new addresses for packages or know of someone changing addresses, please let us know so we can keep those care packages rolling!
